Delete your Verten Jobs account
This page explains how to delete your account and personal data from the Verten Jobs app — job search, applications and your candidate profile.

How to request deletion
Submit the form on this page
Enter the email address you use to sign in to Verten Jobs and choose the app. You do not need to install anything or be signed in.
Or ask from inside the app
Open the app and go to Settings → Delete Account. Requesting it in the app is faster, because being signed in already proves the account is yours.
We confirm the request is yours
A request made from this page is not acted on until we have confirmed it came from the account holder. This is what stops somebody else from deleting your account by typing your address.
Your data is erased within 30 days
We complete confirmed requests within 30 days, and usually far sooner. Everything in the "erased" column below is removed and your sign-in stops working.
One Verten account is shared across Verten Academy and Verten Jobs. Deleting it ends both — your course enrolments and your job applications go together, whichever app you asked from.

What is deleted, and what we have to keep
We cannot simply erase the account record itself — payment and certificate history is attached to it and the law requires us to retain that. So the record is stripped of everything that identifies you and left in place as an anonymous stub. It names nobody and cannot be signed into.
Deleted permanently
Removed within 30 days of a confirmed request.
- Your name, email address and phone number
- Your profile photo
- Your resume / CV and any video introduction
- Your candidate profile, headline and bio
- Your job applications, saved jobs and messages to employers
- Your course reviews, quiz attempts and wishlist
- Your notification settings and push-notification tokens
- Your sign-in credentials — the account can no longer be used
Kept, with your identity removed
Retained only where law or verification requires it.
- Payment and invoice records7 years
- Required by Canadian tax and accounting law (CRA). Stripped of your name and contact details.
- Certificates you were issuedKept indefinitely
- So an employer checking a credential you already gave them can still verify it. No longer linked to your identity.
- Course enrolment and completion records7 years
- They are what a certificate is evidence of. Anonymised alongside the payment they belong to.
- Administrative audit logs3 years
- A record that the deletion happened, and who actioned it. Contains no personal data of yours.
Other ways to reach us
You can also request deletion from inside either app under Settings → Delete Account, or by emailing info@verten.ca from the address on your account. Email us at the same address to cancel a request or ask what stage it has reached.
